Apple Vision Pro successor likely to launch in 2026: Report | Technology News

The successor to Apple first ‘Spatial Computer’ – the Vision Pro will reportedly be launched sometime in the second half of 2026, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

Apple Vision Pro, the tech giant’s first “spatial computer” has been praised by both reviewers and consumers alike. While the mixed reality headset has its fair share of drawbacks, with some consumers complaining about the weight and eye strain, many are looking forward to the next iteration of the Vision Pro.

However, in Bloomberg’s latest Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman suggests that the successor to the Apple Vision Pro is “at least 18 months away”, hinting that we might see it sometime in the second half of 2026. After Apple launched the Vision Pro earlier this month, Gurman said that it was clear that the product was “still a work in progress” and it was “challenging to use on a daily basis.”

While 18 months may sound like a long time for Apple enthusiasts who were eagerly waiting for the Vision Pro successor, it might give the tech giant enough time to work on the cons and iron out the quirks of its first-generation mixed reality headset

However, Gurman does not share information about the much-rumoured pocket-friendly Apple Vision Pro, which has been making rounds on the internet in the last few weeks and is speculated to sport an iPhone chipset and a downgraded display. Moreover, we have no idea if the second-generation Vision Pro will be an incremental or a major upgrade over its predecessor.

Previously, Gurman had stated that the team who worked on the Vision believed that the mixed reality headset was ‘four generations’ away from its ideal form. But despite its drawbacks, Apple fans seem to be eager to try the Vision Pro, which is being sold unofficially outside the United States for as much as $5,000.
