Parent Villages of Springfield hosts Education Matters Brunch

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Parent Villages of Springfield is hosting its 6th annual Education Matters Brunch in Springfield late Saturday morning.
The brunch is being held at Cedars Banquet Hall in Springfield and soon people will be piling in. At this event, Parent Villages will be honoring unsung heroes and college-bound scholarship recipients. It will also feature keynote speakers, performers, and local and state elected officials. Representative Orlando Ramos and Senator Adam Gomez will be there to celebrate all those being honored.
Parent Villages is an organization that works closely with parents, youth, advocates, community leaders, and educators to improve communication, policies, and structures that directly impact the quality of education and the lives of all children in western Massachusetts. They work towards this by mentoring families and financially investing in students through the Education Matters Scholarship.
This event is a time to show appreciation and recognize those who play a role in making these positive changes in the community. The brunch starts at 10 a.m. and will be emceed by 22News very own Kiara Smith.
