India-Nepal Crafts Festival-2024 concludes – myRepublica

KATHMANDU, April 1: The India-Nepal Folk Crafts Festival (INCF) 2024, a five-day exhibition showcasing exclusive artifacts crafted by artisans from India and Nepal, concluded on Monday. Held at the Chhaya Center in Thamel, Kathmandu, the festival commenced on March 21 and concluded on April 1.

The INCF featured a wide array of attractions including trade facilitation, cultural events, live craft demonstrations, design workshops, and showcase of folk arts and crafts from both India and Nepal. Notably, the festival also highlighted the unique crafts of Varanasi.

Sponsored by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu and the Embassy of Nepal, along with various sponsors from Nepal, the event was organized by the South Asia Foundation (SAF) and SAF-Nepal in collaboration with the Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN) and the SAARC Business Association for Home Based Workers-Nepal Chapter, commonly known as SABAH Nepal.

The exhibition featured the work of over 35 artisans and craftsmen, including more than 20 participating artisans from various regions of Nepal.

Initiated by the South Asia Foundation (SAF), the India-Nepal Crafts Festival (INCF) aims to promote bilateral relations through crafts and foster cultural exchange programs among artisans from both India and Nepal.
