Cowgirls Craft & Vendor Show March 8-10 in Valley City

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Cowgirls Craft and Vendor Show will feature Boutique clothing, Jewelry, Home Decor, Laser Crafts, Norwex, Color Street, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware and Crafters with their one of a kind creations and more.

The show will be held Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th from 10am to 5pm with the final day Sunday, March 10th from 10am to 3pm in the National Guard Armory building located at 747 7th Ave. S.E. in Valley City.

The event will also feature author, Sylvan Loegering who considers himself a farm boy although he left the farm  more than sixty-five years ago.

His book “A Big Challenge for a Little Brother” is his way of sharing real-life experiences on a small family farm during the 1940s and 1950s. He is grateful for his life on the farm, a religious upbringing, and great role models in the community.

His education began in a one-room country school and a two-teacher high school in the small town of Brampton, North Dakota. He has a bachelor’s degree in education and a Master of Science Teaching degree.

After teaching a few years he spent most of his working career in sales. During “retirement” he worked part time at NDSU Book Store and ran pizza shows in North Dakota and South Dakota until COVID. He drove semi-trucks hauling sugar beets from fields during beet harvest until he was eighty. Sylvan enjoys golfing and is currently a substitute teacher in the West Fargo School District.

Sylvan and his wife, Marge, have been married sixty-two years. They had six children—three boys and three girls. After the deaths of two sons they helped found and were leaders of the Fargo chapter of The Compassionate Friends, a support group for bereaved parents. They have been involved in church activities and have both been members of their parish council.

The Loegerings currently live in West Fargo, North Dakota, and have an active family life with their four living children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Admittance is free and open to the public, there will be food during this family fun event.
