Arts and Crafts festival raises funds for JCHS drama program

The Fourth Annual Brushy Creek Arts and Crafts Festival, scheduled for March 23, will be co-hosted by Jefferson County High School’s Drama Club and its upcoming performance of an original play.

The festival, located at 6637 Highway 80 between Wrens and Waynesboro, opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. For the last four years this event, created by James and La’Shanta Barrow of The Naked Blacksmith, has invited regional artists and craftsmen from across the state, as well as local individuals and groups, to display and sell their handcrafted items and support area organizations.

The event will also have live blacksmithing demonstrations, face painting, food and drinks for sale, and the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance and be available for photos with children.
