Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and we celebrate the mothers who do everything and anything for their children. Since 1907, the second Sunday in May has been set aside to celebrate all of the mothers and women in our lives.

Mother’s Day in Marshfield: Flower arranging workshop
What’s better than brunch? Flowers of course. This flower-arranging workshop with an expert florist at the Ocean House Coastal Grille in Marshfield will teach you and mom how to create a bouquet.

Hosted at Uva’s Wine Bar in Plymouth, this event brings together two things everyone loves: wine and flowers.
The evening will be full of wine, charcuterie boards and flowers. Eva’s has 48 wines.

Comedy brunch in Hanover at Ryan’s
Mother’s Day includes laughs and food at Ryan Family Amusements at Hanover Crossing with three top female Boston comedians.
Headliners Carolyn Plummer, Rhonda Corey, and Andrea Henry will serve up laughs on Sunday, May 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The show is recommended for ages 16 or older.
Tickets for the brunch are $55 and must be purchased by Friday, May 10. Advance show-only tickets are $30.

Elvis is coming to Weymouth for a Mother’s Day show
Viva Las Weymouth! Ronald Julius, known as the “Elvis of Boston,” will perform with his tribute band for this Mother’s Day show in Weymouth.

Want to relax before Mother’s Day? Head to this yoga session the day before Mother’s Day from 10 to 11 a.m. in Randolph.

Mad Hatter Cafe in Weymouth − kids under 3 eat free
Weymouth’s very own Mad Hatter is hosting its very own Mother’s Day brunch. Tickets for the event are $39 for adults, $14 for children ages 3 to 10, and children under 3 are free. Prices do not include tax and gratuity.
The menu includes French toast, pancakes, pasta dishes, seafood and even a chef-manned omelet station, according to the restaurant.

Alden Park Restaurant in Weymouth − how does maple bourbon salmon sound?
Alden Park Restaurant in Weymouth is hosting its own Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet on Sunday, May 12. Seatings are available at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The cost of the buffet is $44 per adult, $20 for children 5 to 12, and free for kids under 4. Tax and a 20% gratuity will be added automatically to each bill.
Some restaurant offerings include applewood smoked bacon, smoked salmon with pickled red onions and capers, maple bourbon salmon and chicken caprese.

Braintree-based South Side Tavern’s brunch buffet includes breakfast and lunch dishes, chef’s specials like Nutella & Fluff stuffed French toast and baked stuffed chicken breast.
Corned beef hash, a yogurt and omelet station, and more are also on the menu. Adults are $21.99 and kids under 10 are $9.99.

Reservations are now open for this Mother’s Day Buffet at Giardino’s in Abington.
The buffet’s menu includes homemade pastries, pancakes, and homemade hash, prime rib, lamb and tiramisu.
Reservations for the seatings are 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2 p.m.
The early bird 8 a.m. buffet $29.99 for adults. The other times are $34.99. Kids between 6 and 12 are $19.99 each, children 3 to 5 are $9.99 and kids younger than 2 eat for free.
