by What a weekend it was in Bermuda Run, as Phenom Hoops not only had the pleasure of checking out and finding talent, as teams from all over the region came to compete on the courts but several players were able to walk away with opportunities to further their future with scholarship opportunities.
The Phenom Hoop State Finale allowed for students to walk away with $1000 scholarships, as Parents for Education and the T-Boy Scholarship Program by Howell Promotions selected 10 players and they were announced on Sunday. It also included one $2500 Athlete of the Week Scholarship.
“We look to create opportunities for youth that wouldn’t have a chance to go to college. Basically, we are looking to allow kids to graduate debt-free. Once they are a member, they are always a member.” – Melvin Howell from Howell Promotions
