Vehicle used to ram into Oakland business

(KRON) – A vehicle rammed into the City National Bank in Downtown Oakland on Saturday, the Oakland Police Department said.

Oakland police officers responded to the area of 12th Street and Broadway around 6 a.m. on Saturday to the report of an attempted commercial burglary. Responding officers located an Infinity sedan that appeared to have collided with the large glass windows of the City National Bank.  Despite the shattered glass, there was not an entry point into the business.

Officers learned that there were four to five individuals that occupied the sedan. The sedan was used to ram the large glass windows of the bank, but the suspects were unable to gain access to the bank.

The individuals fled the scene before officers arrived.

This is an ongoing investigation.
